Honda Honored with Champion of Diversity Award
Honda has been named a 2017 Champion of Diversity honoree by Indiana Minority Business Magazine. The award is presented to individuals, businesses and organizations that have transcended racial and/or gender barriers, excelled in the area of diversity related to hiring practices, exemplified diversity through outreach efforts and programs, and made efforts and implemented processes to increase diversity.
“Our goal is to create an engaging inclusive environment where our 2,900-plus associates are able to bring their whole selves to work,” said Bob Nelson, Indiana Auto Plant President. “We recognize and celebrate the differences of our associates that make Honda innovative and unique, and we believe that leveraging these differences and diversity of thought create opportunities for industry-leading innovation and allow us to make the highest quality cars for our customers.”
Honda will be recognized along with 12 other honorees during the 12th Annual Champions of Diversity Awards Dinner on January 13, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Indianapolis.
