Numbers can't tell
the whole story.

We are individuals that do great things on a massive scale.

It’s only natural that when you deal in mass production, numbers tend to be the most tangible method of comprehension. But in all that math it’s easy to lose sight of what really defines us. Our associates. We are much more than Honda’s seventh North American auto assembly plant, we are individuals that together do great things on a massive scale.

Quick Facts

Soichiro Honda understood the importance of the individual when he founded the company all those years ago. His creed of Respect for the Individual still resonates clearly. In this About Us section we’ve included the pertinent facts and figures (they are listed below), but it’s the associates who get top billing. They drive our quality, which in turn drives consumer desire for our products. And that makes all things possible, like our commitment to improving our communities and neighborhoods.

Honda Civic

The Evolution of Excellence

The Civic Sedan has long been a flagship vehicle in the Honda family. So when, in 2008, we were entrusted with its production, you better believe we were honored. Since then, we’ve worked hard every day to carry on the tradition of excellence that has long been established for the Civic and all Honda products. And now, we’re proud to take that level of excellence up a notch.

For 2016, the Civic received an ambitious makeover. In addition to a dynamically styled, sporty and spacious design, it features two all-new engines — including the first-ever application of Honda turbo engine technology in the U.S. These powerful and fuel-efficient new engines combine with a sophisticated new body and chassis design to deliver incredibly responsive and sporty performance with a higher level of ride refinement and class-leading fuel efficiency.

The 2016 Civic Sedan is also available with the Honda Sensing™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation and, for the first time in a Honda, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow.

It also offers advanced smartphone integration with a new 7-inch high-definition Display Audio touchscreen, so tech-savvy customers get a more advanced and intuitive connected-car experience.

Other features include Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and LED lights.

Honda CR-V

America’s best-selling SUV comes to Indiana

In February 2017, the Indiana Auto Plant added a new milestone to its growing list of accomplishments: mass production of the 2017 Honda CR-V.

All new and completely redesigned, reimagined and re-engineered, the fifth generation of America’s best-selling SUV represented a major vote of confidence in the Indiana Auto Plant, a facility for achieving that only began mass production in 2009.

The new CR-V boasts bold and sophisticated new styling, a more spacious, versatile and premium-quality interior, the model’s first-ever available turbocharged engine, and a host of new features and technologies for improved connectivity, comfort and convenience.

Based on an all-new platform architecture, the new CR-V also targets the highest levels of quality and driving refinement in its class, including top-in-class cabin quietness, steering precision, ride comfort and body control — all designed to imbue the CR-V with a polished, fun-to-drive persona.

Unsurprisingly for a vehicle packed with segment-busting quality, features and performance, the 2017 CR-V was recently chosen as one of Car and Driver magazine’s 10 Best Trucks and SUVs for 2017.

Honda CR-V Hybrid

America’s most popular crossover – but hybrid

The CR-V has been America’s best-selling crossover for the past 22 years, and this year, we’re building a new model in our Greensburg, Indiana plant: the 2020 CR-V Hybrid. It’s Honda’s first electrified SUV in America, and we’re proud to build them right here in the Greensburg plant as Honda moves to apply our advanced two-motor hybrid-electric system to all of our core models in the years ahead.

The 2020 CR-V Hybrid boasts the same bold and sophisticated styling of the CR-V with some unique features. CR-V Hybrid models have hybrid badging and a distinctive blue Honda logo in the center of the grille, as well as a hidden tailpipe and a push-button gear selector with three switches for throttle response: Econ, Sport or EV mode.

When you sit behind the wheel of the new CR-V Hybrid, you enjoy the cabin quietness, steering precision and comfort-focused performance America has fallen in love with – only now, it’s powered by the 212 HP, advanced two-motor hybrid powertrain.

Along with the 2020 CR-V Hybrid’s innovative features and fun-to-drive persona, it joins the rest of the CR-V lineup in achieving IIHS 2020 Top Safety Pick ratings.
